Since our inception, our vision has been to accelerate the transition to electric mobility by making EV charging as fast and easy as going to a gas station. The result is our modular battery swapping system that can bring charging times down to a matter of minutes, launch in public areas in as little as three days, and enable manufacturers to integrate our universally compatible technology into their vehicles seamlessly.

Today, we’re incredibly excited to announce our partnership with Stellantis, a key milestone bringing us closer to getting more EVs on the road. Our partnership will begin with a program to deploy Fiat 500e’s in the Free2Move carsharing service in Madrid, Spain in 2024. The Fiat 500e is the highest-selling electric vehicle within Stellantis, sold globally and it is an EV leader in multiple European markets.

Since integrating Ample’s technology does not require re-engineering Stellantis’ vehicle platforms, we’re also discussing expanding the application of our Modular Battery Swapping Technology to meet Stellantis fleet and consumer demand across other Stellantis platforms and geographies.

We’re proud to be partnering with Stellantis as we share a similar vision. As a part of the Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan, Stellantis announced plans of reaching a 100% passenger car battery electric vehicle (BEV) sales mix in Europe and 50% passenger car and light-duty truck BEV sales mix in the United States by 2030. To achieve these sales targets, the Company is securing approximately 400 GWh of battery capacity. Stellantis is on track to become a carbon net zero corporation by 2038, all scopes included, with single-digit percentage compensation of remaining emissions.

We’re beyond thrilled about this milestone and excited to get started. Madrid, here we come!
