Ample has developed a Modular Battery Swapping service that uses Swapping Stations to deliver energy to an EV in a few minutes and at a lower cost than the gasoline station equivalent. A network of Swapping Stations can be deployed across an entire city in six weeks. Ample’s energy service will allow drivers to make the transition to electric vehicles seamless because they will be able to maintain the operational ease and convenience of gas stations without compromising their earnings.
Sally has set the industry standard for vehicle rentals for rideshare, taxi, and last mile delivery. Sally implements proprietary technology, offers services to the professional driver, and provides world-class support. Responsible for the first yellow taxi EV fleet in New York City, Sally has built a deep understanding of how to deploy electric vehicles at scale and support drivers in their transition to electric mobility.
Since commercial vehicles generate revenue only when they are working, their drivers need access to a fast energy delivery system. Existing fast charging infrastructure lacks availability, only delivers an 80% charge, degrades the batteries, and is largely unable to fit the needs of the professional driver. Ironically, fast charging is also too slow. We believe that a fully integrated service that combines access to electric vehicles and efficient energy delivery systems is critical for the success of electric vehicles in the rideshare, taxi, and last mile industries.
Sally and Ample are also joining forces to design cutting-edge EV service stations to deliver an awe-inspiring experience to professional drivers. The stand-alone facilities will feature Ample Swapping Stations for drivers to quickly swap their vehicle battery, and a welcoming space where drivers can rest, use the bathroom, and re-energize before getting back on the road.
